The Guiding Tree
The tree outside my window still, tells me
The mood the sun is in. With leaves so bright
sending the thrill of life. For morning be
The start- permission to begin- ignite.
The tree guides me- assuring hope through pain
filled winters. It gives selflessly the key,
To conquer and remain restful. No shame
In asking nature to help you to see.
The wind and leaves create a call for all
To answer. If one stops to listen, it
Can lead you to a place to reconcile
With peace. It sings a subtle hymn- “Don’t quit.”
To live beyond the daily fog, embrace
What is in front. Just close your eyes- make space.
